This role involves providing oversight with direct development and implementation of marketing activities for a period of one year (Contract). The Brand & Marketing Officer will coordinate creative teams, and utilize insights from analysis to drive the business solutions’ visibility, build client relationships, and improve market position and impact.
Responsibilities
- Execute marketing initiatives that are aligned to strategic business drivers.
- Keep track of marketing initiatives performance to gauge whether they have achieved the intended level of client engagement and growth, and drive post-activity discussions with business partners.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities related to the portfolio, including budget, content development, and agency interaction.
- Develop portfolio monthly reports for review by the line manager for cascade.
- Working with client coverage and branch managers, overseeing day-to-day requirements for branches.
- Oversee branding roll out and management of branches and offsites.
- Be the key marketing resource and contact point for branch managers.
- Proactively maintain a close working relationship with business stakeholders to ensure their Brand and Marketing requirements are well understood and supported.
- Optimize on key sponsorship assets to drive brand visibility, thought leadership, and lead opportunities.
- Activate key partnerships or properties that can help drive business opportunities for the business.
- Coordinate and manage all event logistics such as venue preparation, invitations, transportation for participants, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing, and event security, to ensure a successful event delivery.
- Manage event project delivery elements to maintain adherence to the procurement, compliance, risk, and legal policies and procedures, in order to minimise operational risks.
- Manage the event financials and identify opportunities to reduce costs or reallocate resources to ensure costs are within the approved budget.
- Actively participate in project status, noting to keep line manager updated.
- Identify project resources and budgetary requirements.
- Activate marketing initiatives both internally and externally.
- Monitor and report on marketing initiatives.
- Management, tracking, and reporting of the marketing budget within the portfolio to ensuring tracking of all expenditure, spend within budget provision, and supplier payments.
- In partnership with line manager, undertake quarterly budget review and follow up with finance to ensure 90% of all expenditure for the quarter is closed and paid.
Qualifications and Experience
- First degree in Marketing or a related field.
- 2-3 years’ experience in full project life cycle management environment using marketing and promotion techniques.
- 2-3 years’ experience with event coordination with a proven track record of organizing successful events.
- Experience in using electronic invitation systems.
- Ability to develop and stretch ideas, think outside the box and deliver positive impact beneficial to the business.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to design and manage events to deliver against the set objectives.
- The ability to identify and engage with all the key stakeholders in the project life cycle.
