Job Description
The Branch Supervisor at Java House is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant branch to ensure that all policies, procedures, and standard specifications are followed. The role involves managing staff, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining the quality of food and service while driving sales and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Policy Compliance: Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines are followed and completed on a timely basis.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, food preparation standards, serving protocols, and repair and maintenance schedules.
Operational Excellence: Drive company objectives in sales, service quality, and hygiene. Create a positive working environment and supervise regular branch deep cleaning.
Financial Management: Adhere to cash handling and reconciliation procedures. Ensure prompt billing, correct change distribution, and strict adherence to cash handling SOPs.
Customer Service: Minimize guest complaints by spending 95% of time on floor coverage. Listen to and respond to guest feedback, and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service promptly.
Quality Control: Sample food and drink items through regular store audits to ensure palatability and flavor conformity.
Team Supervision: Supervise food and beverage service staff in the dining area. Prevent and resolve personnel problems as they arise.
Order Management: Take correct takeaway orders, ensure they are correctly dispensed, and manage delivery orders to ensure they are prepared and picked up on time.
Sales: Use suggestive selling techniques to introduce new products to guests.
Hygiene & Presentation: Maintain high hygiene standards at the cashier station and ensure cutlery is polished and well-displayed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Possession of a BA, BSc, or HND qualification.
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
Financial Awareness: Ability to review and understand Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to handle money and operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
Soft Skills: Must be result-oriented, self-driven, articulate, and proactive.
Resilience: Prepared to work under pressure and make quick, sound decisions.
Values: Demonstrate strong core ethics and values with the ability to coordinate team skills effectively.
