Branch Manager

SMEP Microfinance Bank Limited is a public limited company incorporated under the Companies Act (Cap 486) and licensed under the Microfinance Act (Cap 493D) to offer banking services, focusing on Group banking, Retail banking, Church banking, Asset financing, microfinance, and related services.

Reporting to the Relationship Manager – Business Development (Zonal Leader), the Branch Manager will be responsible for steering the Branch into a high level of performance through proper people management strategies, high business generation, and championing a customer-centric culture at the Branch.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Leadership & Mentorship: Take the leadership role at the Branch and mentor the Branch staff towards the achievement of the Bank’s Mission, Vision, and the Bank’s Strategic Objectives.
• Performance Targets: Ensure achievement of set targets in Customer Service, Customer Retention, Deposits growth, and growth in a quality Loan Portfolio.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain critical relationships at the Branch to enhance business development.
• Strategic Partnerships: Enhance relationships with SMEs, High Net worth Individuals, Churches, and Institutions to grow business.
• Portfolio Balancing: Maintain a balanced portfolio on Church, SME, and Retail and Corporate deposits. Implement strategies on penetration of business segments, markets, and sectors.
• Non-Funded Income: Ensure growth of non-funded income business including transactional, alternate, and direct banking business.
• Staff Productivity: Ensure staff productivity is maintained through support, mentorship, turn-around-time (TAT), and quality customer service.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements. Work closely with risk and compliance units to ensure effective controls to mitigate business risks.
