Associate Professor – Community Health (Grade 14)

This is a senior academic position at Embu University College focused on advanced teaching, extensive research, and institutional leadership within the field of Community Health. The role requires demonstrated scholarly excellence, significant postgraduate mentorship, and successful securing of research funding.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must be holders of an earned PhD degree in the relevant area of specialty. In addition, applicants must fulfill the following mandatory criteria:

• Have at least eight (8) years of university teaching experience, three (3) of which must be as a full-time Senior Lecturer.
• Have attained at least forty-eight (48) publication points, thirty-two (32) of which must be derived from articles published in refereed scholarly journals since being appointed Senior Lecturer.
• Have successfully supervised to completion at least five (5) Masters students and one (1) PhD student since being appointed Senior Lecturer.
• Show evidence of successfully securing at least two (2) research grants since being appointed Senior Lecturer.
• Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
• Show evidence of active participation/leadership in university activities.
• Show evidence of continued research.
