About the Role
The Associate Applications Developer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting software applications in accordance with information systems requirements of the organization. The primary objective is to ensure that software applications are available for use 24/7.
Responsibilities
Software Development: Develop and implement in-house software applications by gathering system requirements, designing, and developing the system.
Support & Troubleshooting: Analyze system issues reported by users and provide effective solutions.
Documentation: Develop systems documentation for in-house applications currently in use.
Quality Assurance: Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) testing for business application modules before deployment.
User Acceptance: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the business process team.
Integration: Develop and support system integration interfaces.
System Maintenance: Work with the infrastructure team and database administrators to ensure that databases and applications are backed up for business continuity.
Availability: Ensure consistent availability of software applications to users and resolve reported system issues.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Education: University degree in Computer Science or Information Sciences and/or a minimum Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting an internal programming/intranet environment with solid experience in business applications support.
Programming Skills: At least 2 years of programming experience in .NET, Microsoft .NET technologies, Oracle RDBMS, and SQL Server.
Technical Knowledge: Solid experience in Microsoft technologies especially as applicable to Web Applications and Mobile applications development.
Certifications: Professional qualification in Systems Analysis and Design, Microsoft Professional certifications, or Oracle Certifications are desirable.
Soft Skills: Self-motivated, proactive problem-solver, excellent verbal and written communication, and results-oriented with attention to detail.
Professionalism: High standards of professional grooming and self-presentation.
