The role of the Assistant Banking (RO) is to provide comprehensive, high-quality secretarial and administrative support to staff, including travel arrangements and secretarial assistance in project preparation, within the EBRD Resident Office (RO) in Nairobi, Kenya. This role supports staff from various teams represented in the RO and requires cooperation with service providers such as travel agencies and courier companies.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
The Assistant Banking (RO) will be responsible for:
- Screening telephone calls, taking messages, and passing them on as appropriate, while providing a professional front-of-house service.
- Managing the diaries of the Bankers if required, assisting with the smooth running of the office and key stakeholder’s schedules.
- Proofreading and drafting routine business correspondence for Banker’s signature, editing, photocopying, scanning, and binding documents.
- Organizing conference calls, video conferences, and both external and internal meetings.
- Handling travel arrangements for various business trips, including visa arrangements and following up on the reimbursement process.
- Providing administrative support in project preparation, due diligence, and monitoring, including updating projects databases, filing project documents, and preparing contract request forms.
- Assisting in the organization of workshops and seminars, and preparing presentations for internal and external meetings.
- Working and supporting visiting missions to the RO.
- Covering the reception area as/when required.
- Performing ad-hoc secretarial and administrative duties when required.

Academic Qualifications
- Higher education (BA/BSc/HND).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Experience/Knowledge
- Secretarial and administrative experience essential.
