This role is for the position of Artisan II (Painter), Grade 3, identified by reference PU/ADV/05/11/2025. This is defined as an entry position within the University’s Artisan cadre.
The Artisan II (Painter) is responsible for executing skilled painting, finishing, and related artisan tasks necessary for the maintenance and upkeep of university property. The position requires practical competence, safety consciousness, integrity, and adherence to institutional standards and deadlines.
The candidate must have a minimum mean grade of D+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent and a Trade Certificate in a relevant field (Painting) from a recognised institution.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience with proven integrity, independence, innovativeness, and compliance to deadlines.
In addition, the candidate must demonstrate hands-on experience in handling the following:
Appointment shall be on terms and conditions determined by the University Council, subject to stipulations in Kenyan Labour Laws regarding age and citizenship.
