Agriculture Interns

Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks company. This internship program is designed for students interested in gaining professional experience within the agriculture sector. The internship is for a fixed period of three months without extension, providing crucial exposure and practical learning opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements for the Internship Program

• Only students currently enrolled in their 3rd or final year of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent program at a public or accredited private academic institution can apply.
• Candidates must plan to continue their education once the internship concludes or be awaiting graduation. Candidates who finished their education and have spent over a year (12 months) since leaving school will not qualify for consideration; applications will automatically be declined.
• You must be on break/holiday from school during the entire internship period.

Required Attributes and Skills

A successful intern has a desire to gain professional experience and is exceptionally eager to learn and explore possibilities. The required attributes and skills include:

• Strong listening skills are required to perform this role.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to understand instructions, and not being afraid to ask questions will ensure a productive internship.
• Excellent knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Very articulate with fluent English.
• Must be patient, demonstrate keen attention to detail, be a fast learner, committed, able to understand directions, and capable of working quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Keen to learn about the markets and also with a high attention to detail and pride in their work at this initial stage of their career development.
• A dedication to completing the full 3 months internship program.

Mandatory Requirements (Documentation)

Successful applicants will need to provide the following documentation:

• A letter from your institution indicating that you are a student there and/or require the internship as part of the requirement for course completion.
• Personal Accident insurance cover for the duration of the internship.
• Bank account details.
• Copy of National Identity Card.
• Copy of KRA Pin Certificate.
• NSSF and SHA numbers.
