DIB Bank Kenya Limited (DIBBKE) is a pioneering institution that combines Shariah values with modern banking innovation. We are looking for an Accountant- Group Reporting who will be responsible for Group reporting in liaison with the Senior Manager Financial Controls.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting
Prepare Group reports as per Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Collate information from other units for the completion of Group Reports.
Provide support to the Senior Manager Financial Controls regarding Group reporting enquiries.
Liaise with the MIS unit to automate Group reports to improve efficiencies.
Assist with the External audit process by reviewing required audit schedules and support documents.
Prepare ALCO packs.
Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
Reliever Role (Regulatory Reporting and Financial Control)
Provide backup for the Accountant - Regulatory Reporting and Accountant - Financial Control, including IFRS and Central Bank Reporting.
Input for and validation of the IFRS 9 provisioning model.
Support the financial reporting team in the preparation of key financial reporting schedules for credit risk and liquidity risk, in line with department standards.

Non-Financial: Improve existing workflow and processes based on business and product understanding.
Key Relationships
Internal: Head of Finance (CFO), Group Finance, Branches, Risk, IT, Internal Audit, and Business teams (if required).
External: Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), KDIC, Tax Authority, Ministry of Finance, External Auditors, and Tax advisors.
Requirements & Qualifications
University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Studies.
CPA Part 2 or similar professional qualification.
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar position and/or in an accounting or audit environment.
Knowledge of International Accounting and Reporting Best Practices.
Good knowledge of the Financial and Banking sector.
In-depth knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, and banking products.
Knowledge of reconciliation procedures.
Knowledge of CBK electronic software reporting module and reporting requirements, including repercussions for non-compliance.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and general computer skills.
Dynamic, self-driven individual with the ability to work under pressure.
Key Competencies
Ability to manage complex and varied work assignments requiring frequent prioritization.
Strong decision-making ability regarding local regulations and bank policies.
Ability to interpret and apply IFRS and IAS standards.
Capacity to handle more demanding internal and external customers due to financial sector sophistication.
